Here are five easy steps to always follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Wet <\/strong>\u2013 The first step is to thoroughly wet both hands, as this will allow for sufficient distribution of the cleaning agent.<\/li><li><strong>Lather <\/strong>\u2013 After applying a generous amount of soap to your hands (including the inside, back and fingertips), wash for at least 20 seconds. You should pay special attention to your fingertips, as they often are the first part to touch the face, nose and eyes.<\/li><li><strong>Scrub <\/strong>\u2013 When it comes to removing bacteria, friction is your best friend. By scrubbing your hands together, you can remove more debris and achieve the cleanliness you\u2019re looking for.<\/li><li><strong>Rinse <\/strong>\u2013 After thoroughly washing, rinse your hands under water to remove any soap.<\/li><li><strong>Dry <\/strong>\u2013 Finish by completely drying your hands. It\u2019s best to use disposable towels, as to prevent any lingering germs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When Should You Wash Your Hands?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is never a bad time to wash your hands. However, it\u2019s especially important to do so in these situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>After shaking hands<\/li><li>After touching garbage<\/li><li>After putting on your shoes<\/li><li>Before and after treating a cut or wound<\/li><li>Before and after performing oral hygiene<\/li><li>After returning home from a public outing<\/li><li>After blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing<\/li><li>After a bathroom visit, whether public or at home<\/li><li>After touching an animal, animal feed or animal waste<\/li><li>Before and after caring for someone at home who is sick<\/li><li>Before, during and after preparing food, especially raw food<\/li><li>After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet<\/li><li>After using public computers, touching public tables and countertops, cash and coins, ATM\u2019s, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When Should You Use Sanitizer?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important thing to know about sanitizer is that it isn\u2019t a substitute for handwashing.
